Mine, smelt, smith & sell. Keep mining until you can mine coal, then smelt and smith until you can make steel stuff. Steel is made from 1part iron to 2 parts coal. Steal stuff is quite rewarding at specialist shops. The best place to do this is at the Dwarven mines around Falador. Enter the mines, mine, and then find the staircase and exit, not the ladder. Follow the path after the staircase until you come to the furnace. Smelt, then follow the path further then turn north at the centre square. Then head on North-West path and smith at Doric's Smithing place (must have done Doric's Quest first) and smith your steel bars. Repeat procedure many times.
