Make sure you have a completely empty inventory. To make bowstrings (also known as bs) you go to Seers, at the end of the town and pick a bunch of flax. Then go back up to a house near the yews. Go upstairs and find a spinning wheel. Click on it, and when it comes up, go to the picture of the bowstring and right click and select make X. Then it pops up and you have to type how much you want to make, put in 28, wait for it to spin, and then put it in the bank. 5k bowstring = 1 million; 1k bowstring = 200k; 500 bowstring = 100k you can make around 300 in a half an hour.
